how to make a £40 acoustic guitar play like a £400 guitar. This is from a series of videos where I take a very cheap guitar and make lots of easy and inexpensive improvements to this guitar to make it play like a far better guitar.

In this video I take the cheap Glarry GT501 guitar I reviewed in the previous video and get rid of as many of it’s weaknesses as possible to make it feel like a guitar that would cost 10 times more. The Glarry GT501 is a very cheap guitar and because of this it isn’t very well finished on the fingerboard and frets, the guitar would also benefit a lot from a pickup and preamp.

In this video I will perform the following jobs on the guitar;
I will bevel the edge of the frets and smooth them off.
I will treat the wood on the fingerboard.
I will lower the action.
I will fit an under-bridge pickup and a Fishman blend preamp
I will remove the mat finish and put a shine on the back of the neck.
