2017 27″ 5K Apple iMac Custom build (Kaby Lake)

Fun Gotta unboxes the new 27″ iMac for 2017. This one is a custom build with:
– 4.2GHz quad-core 7th-generation Intel Core i7
– 40GB 2400MHz DDR4 (ordered with 8Gb and then bought 32Gb off MacSales – saved a lot of money)
– 3TB Fusion Drive
– Radeon Pro 580 with 8GB video memory

This new iMac has a truly beautiful 5K Retina display with wide P3 colour gamut, 2 x Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C), Apple’s Magic Mouse 2 and Full-size Magic Keyboard (with keypad).

The mac supports up to 64GB DDR4 2400MHz RAM but I will see how I go with 40Gb before investing in more RAM. For those who want even more power, the iMac Pro will be available in December 2017. If you can’t wait you will find that this iMac gives you a lot of bang for buck. This video rendered in less than 5 min in Final Cut Pro.
