Fujifilm X-H2s – Cinematic Water Lantern Festival – 6.2K Graded F-Log low light.

I went to the water lantern festival in Whittier, and thought it would be a good chance to film in nearly dark conditions, just to see how the camera would fair. Didn’t do too bad, it was very dark, and my friends and I tripped several times not really being able to see the ground in front of us very well. So taking that into consideration I think the camera did well.

The video was shot in 6.2K 24p, mixed in 4k120, and then the 6.2K was adjusted to match the 4k120 aspect ratio. So what you’re seeing is 4K HQ (down-sampled 6k). I used the H.265 codec in ALL-I at 360MBps, in F-Log for all frame rates/resolutions. For almost all shots I was using the 16mm F/1.4 @ 1.4 in auto ISO set with a ceiling of 10,000. Those settings can be recorded to standard V60 and above SD cards as well as the CFExpress Type B.
